The Yoga of Sound - Introductory Workshop with Sandra Leigh E-RYT
Sound is everywhere, all the time. Learn how to use it to your benefit! Sound healing promotes health and wellness, bringing clarity to the practitioner and calm to the environment. In this 2 hour workshop, we will use sound & mantra to explore the subtle energy of the yoga of sound (Nada Yoga). This form of yoga is easy to learn and pleasant to practice. It is recommended as a genuine technique for providing positive experiences that help people overcome all kinds of stress and anxiety. In this introductory workshop, we will explore simple activations and energy block release techniques to prepare our physical state, and then familiarize ourselves with basic sound healing principles and how they relate to the chakra system. Then, join Sandra in Kirtan, call and response style singing from the yogic tradition designed to lead us into a joyful and meditative state. No experience is necessary! You do not need to be musical or a good singer to reap the benefits of this workshop. Everyone can benefit from sound healing!
