Facial Massage Therapy, Skin Analysis & Waxing
Students receive extensive education in the effective analysis of skin types and subsequent application of varied facials and skin care services. To attain the desired effect of increased relaxation, improved tissue stimulation and circulation, students apply the techniques of nourishing massage, which incorporates the traditional Swedish movements of effleurage, petrissage and tapotement.

The study of cosmetology and esthetics is to simultaneously be informed of the latest developments and scientific recognition in physical culture and to delve back thousands of years in history as far as the human desire for eternal youth and beauty began.
Make-Up Artistry
The Make-up Artistry Module provides students with an opportunity to experiment creatively and evaluate historical applications of make-up. Make-up application begins with the knowledge and understanding of facial and bone structures, identifying prominent facial shapes, classification of eyes, brow design and lips.
Nail Technology
In the Nail Technology module, students will learn the application of hand, arm, foot and lower leg massage, in addition to popular spa treatments, such as foot paraffin bath masques, hot oil treatments, french manicures, and nail art.
Each module includes a theoretical workbook with approximately 20 quizzes and 1 final module theory exam.
DISTANCE LEARNING - THEORY ADMINISTRATION
At the end of each module chapter, a quiz will be completed by the student and sent back to the Department of Education for grading. These quizzes can be submitted at anytime through the course of the program (within a 1 year time period).
Once all quizzes have been received and graded with passing grades (70%), a final module exam will be sent to the student for completion and submission. On successful module exam completion (70%), the module will be credited toward the student’s course completion.
Once all modules have been successfully completed, the student will be issued with a Certificate of Completion on Theoretical Esthetics and Spa Services.
PROPOSED DIPLOMA PROGRAM - PRACTICE OF ESTHETICS
Dominelli Distance Learning Diploma requires hands-on practical training under the supervision of a Dominelli Instructor to receive an esthetics diploma.
Students wishing to obtain a Diploma in the Distance Learning Program, can elect to spend an additional 2 months completing intensive practical training at Dominelli College in Burnaby, BC, Canada – scheduled 2 times per year.
Esthetic Diploma program are for students who want to specialize in the study of skin care. Esthetics is a growing part of the health and beauty industry, and qualified Estheticians are needed to perform facial treatments, nail services, waxing and cosmetic make-up application. The ability to analyze client’s skin care needs, treatments, products, and help client look and feel better.
Esthetic services are now one of the most sought after services in the health and beauty industry. Estheticians who build a strong reputation in the field and continue learning new or improved treatment techniques have a highly successful career.
The student will be required to be onsite for approximately 2 calendar months to complete training, practice competencies learned and complete a 2 day examination process in theory (1 day) and practicals (1 day) onsite at Dominelli International College in Burnaby, BC, Canada.

DISTANCE LEARNING - REGISTRATION
This program will be available to all out of town residents only. Complete and submit the pre-application registration form found with payment for module (Pay As You Go*).
*Pay As You Go - Students must pay for modules registered for in advance of each module and can schedule the payments as they complete and register for each new module of the course.
Once accredited this program will start: On receipt, our Registrar will confirm your enrolment in the program and will mail the text and outline of the module to be completed with a suggested schedule of completion. As each module is completed and paid for, the Registrar will send out new module text and material to the student.
NOTE: Dominelli Distance Learning Certification training must be completed before your Internship at Dominelli College
