Glycolic Acid 10%
Glycolic Acid is a non-toxic choice for refining fine lines, hyperpigentation, hyperkeratinization and acne without rendering the skin sun sensitive. Derived from sugar cane, glycolic acid belongs to the Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) family, a group of naturally occurring substances found in fruit, grape wine and sour milk. As skin ages, it loses its resiliency and cells mature at a slower rate. Without regular exfoliation, the epidermis thickens with a build up of dead cells, clogging pores and acting as a barrier for moisture. Glycolic Acid weakens the bonds holding cells together on the skin’s uppermost layer and sloughs them away.
Use
The Glycolic Acid Cream serves as a gentle peel and removal of surface imperfections while stimulating collagen regeneration. Use Glycolic Acid Cream 10% one night, then the Oxygen system (oil & cream) the next. Alternatively, you may use the Glycolic acid 10% cream up to three consecutive nights per week (i.e. Mon, Tues, Wed) and the Oxygen system up to four consecutive nights per week (i.e. Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun).
