What is the difference between Medical Esthetics and Clinical Esthetics?
Medical Estheticians must have a medical background to practice. Minimum requirements are that you need to be a certified medical nurse or a medical doctor. This allows you to administer injections such as botox and collagen. Laser treatment administration must be supervised by a certified medical doctor. This training is usually provided on location and under the guidance of a medical practitioner.
Training as a Clinicial Esthetician on the other hand, allows you to administer esthetic treatments using clinical machines such as Faradic current, Micro current, Galvanic current, High Frequency current, Electrolysis and Microdermabrasion without the need to be a certified medical practitioner. CIDESCO Esthetics training at Dominelli International College provides you with the skills and knowledge to administer these treatments in any spa or clinic. The theory of laser is also taught at the College and you can advance your skills with this knowledge onsite at a medical clinic under the supervision of a doctor.
